Book Review- The Day before… I Died (Matryoshka in East) by Ashi Kalim

Review-

The Day Before I…..Died  is Historical Romance Fiction which revolves around Svetlana, daughter of Stalin. She falls in love with an Indian Prince Brajesh.

The short love story, history and international politics is handled well and book serves us something more than regular love story.

Book Title and Cover– Book Title is interesting and appropriate with the book and catches attention of readers. Cover is beautiful and suggests us about the genre and content.

Both Title and Cover catches attention of readers.

Language and Narration- Language used in the book is simple and easy to comprehend.
Narration is done well but could be improved in next book for better reading experience. However, The poems and poetic writing style of Ashi glued me with this book.

Characters- Author has well portrayed the character of Svetlana and Brajesh. I loved Svetlana. She has depth, understanding and her own opinion about his father’s decision.

On the other side, Brajesh is calm and decent however author could have portrayed him well.

Storyline and Plot- Plot of this book is unique and interesting. Although, this book is only 100 pages long, it well highlights history, world politics.

Storytelling is what binds you with the book. Scenes are written well and they flow smoothly.

You can read this book if you like history and love stories.
