6. My Wife’s Diary by Deepanshu Saini

‘Am I okay?’ I asked myself again, for the hundredth time. ‘I don’t know,’ I told myself again, for the hundredth time. I have never been so confused. For my entire life, I have taken decisions with a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’: ‘Do I want to go for engineering?’ ‘Yes’; ‘Do I need to go for another job?’ ‘No’; ‘Should I look for career in writing?’; ‘Yes’; ‘Do I love her?’ ‘Yes’; ‘Should I smoke?’ ‘No’; ‘Should I drink?’ ‘Yes’ -my whole life has revolved around these two words. And the same words worked while making the most important decision of my life – my marriage. ‘Should I go for love marriage?’ ‘Yes’. Why shouldn’t I? After all, she is beautiful, fair and tall, with a shapely body, and with that tiny mole under her lower lip that most guys would be ready to die for. Overall, a trustworthy companion, a perfect daughter-in-law and an ambitious girl – what else does a guy want? But one year of marriage can prove you wrong. It can even give a shock perhaps. Just the thought that a girl in her mid-twenties can hold so many secrets, so many emotions, is actually astonishing. Few months ago, I would’ve never pictured things the way they are now. She once said to me: ‘Love has nothing to do with the body. It speaks from the soul.’ Well, she was absolutely correct. But I think, I was an Idiot as what she meant that day came into my wits now… I was uncomfortably aware of my conscience every time I faintly turned the page of her diary, and every time a feeling went through my nerves, like I was about to bite my own tongue. How had something so simple become so tangled and complicated suddenly? I still remember the first time I had met her. As much as I tried not to think about her, she kept flitting into my consciousness or into my line of sight. And I was clear that I wanted her. I want to formalize the relationship. How? I don’t know. But yes, my sentiments were really honest. That’s it. But now, it’s something different.

7. Epiphany: Tales of Revelation

“A true and brutally honest utterance of love, this book connects with you instantly. An attempt to bring out the various nuances of a heart in love, the collection ranges from romantic poems to poems dwelling with the questions of self. This book is for everyone who wants to have a rendezvous with themselves and also with the ones they love in a familiar yet newer light.”

8. Blemishing The Odds by Harish Penumarthi

Say hello to Raghav, an immature, insensitive person who is apathetic about everyone else except himself. His life revolves around his parents and his friends. He is among the bad books of all his Teachers. Until one day, when Trisha, a new entrant; mesmerizes him at the very first glance. He finds a friend, savior, nurturer and an inamorata in her. Just when he thinks that everything has been set out in a picture perfect manner, life throws a series of ghastly surprises at him. Will he change for good or stick to his immature stand of “My Life, my rules” and screw it all up? This tale journeys across all the ups and downs a student could possibly encounter. The transformations that a student may endure, the courage and guts one needs to have in order to dodge all predicaments and eventually sketch the perfect end to all his agonies.

9. The Kissing Circles by Nitin Tewari

“A boat race. Sounds fun” “Not for me. Oh, but I can be a cheerleader.” No doubt a Toddy effect. “Yeah dude. So Pandey is going to design the next aircraft carrier ship.” “And Bansal, you’re going to brand this into the first Water Olympics.” “And I shall win the race and marry Kala in the most lavish wedding Mevalloor has ever seen” Yeah, welcome to the world of Ordinaries! Extraordinary In 2007, at the height of the Global IT boom, Manoj Bansal and Rajesh Pandey, two newly-releasedprisoners of Engineering with mediocre grades and a looming IT future, set out for Trivandrum for their Corporate Learning Programme (CLP). Torn between their past miscues and topical aspirations, they hope to find their true calling.Whilst in a confused, depression ridden transitory phase, they soon run into their fellow trainee, Adish Matthew – a Malayali Computer engineer, and a village simpleton Mutthur Sankunni – the no-hope skipper of MaruthiVallam, gearing up for the annual Vallamkali. Bound by a common thread of mediocrity, they shun the modern world’s great expectations and take off on a spree to discover the tranquility of the God’s own country. Until one day…when a Tsunami of mishaps rocks their life, impelling them to join hands and transfigure into the four kissing circles, fighting the most irrelevant battle of our times: To be or not to be, extraordinary.

10. Strangers With Known Faces by Gautam Dutta

  5. Hi,

The books on offer are indeed interesting. By 3 book giveaways I presume you mean that we can express our interest for 3 of the 10 books showcased in the post here. If that is so, here are my choices-

    1) Strangers with Known Faces by Gautam Dutta
My views and expectations on reading the blurb – Well this one does not look like not an ordinary thriller but seems to be one with psychological dimensions and this I feel will make it even more interesting and gripping.

    2) Wild Card by Asfiya Rahman
Now why am I interested in this one? Well, the book looks like one packed not only with emotions but one that analyses relationships and is inspiring. The blurb makes me expect a book that is sure to bring out the best in human beings.

    Wishing the giveaway all success.

  6. I am interested in THE THREE WISE MONKEYS by JEET GIAN.
I have read his last novel. Which was related to CA w/s MBA. And i was so connected to that.
From this book too i am expecting a story in which i can find myself.

  7. I am interested in The Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Gian as it seems to be a funny and quirky book. I expect it to be a laugh riot. Also the book must have cinematic qualities, because Sajid Khan will be making a movie on it. That makes me more interested to read this book.

  8. 1. The Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Gian….would like to learn about peter pan syndrome
    2. Wild Cars by Asfiya …clearly because it is much hyped
    3. Secret Sins & struggles by Kamini Kusum

  11. hello,
i would love- my wifes diary by deepanshu saini –
as it shows todays view of how one can have so much within and yet not reveal it. the distance we keep from ourselves.
also as i really loved the cover and blurb. it is going to be an amazing book! cant wait to read it!

the second book i would love to win is – 7) epiphany: tales of revelation.
being a religious poetry lover, yes a poetry book is must, the blurb has got me excited to know the poems inside of the book. i really like the cover. all the poems will extract different pages of love. the sacrifices and alot more to it! the essence of poetry is saying alot in less words and i wouldnt want to miss it!

  12. Strangers With Known Faces by Gautam Dutta
I find this book most engrossing among all. The title is catchy and weaves a story about some unspoken secret. I really find the description engrossing and is keen to know what happens in the life of strangers. I am very much interested in the puzzle game they played in the past and feels a strong connection of the game to the murder. The title and the description also conveys a message that although we are strangers but deep down we all have something common. Some secrets, some stories and some horror. I wish to win this book as I believe it to be a blend of suspense and human psychology.

Blemishing The Odds by Harish Penumarthi
I am a very strict to rules type of boy. I usually follow a routine and sticks to it. I also know that love can make you do things which you never imagined you would do. I think Raghav is like me, I never suspected the power of love and friendship and I believe that this book stands as a message to this power. The title itself says a lot about the book. I think the book is about how one tries to stand against all the odds and try to change oneself and the other person. The book shows that nothing is permanent and sometimes unchangeable things can be changed when you meet the right person at the right time.

  13. This is indeed a mega giveaway and all the books sound interesting. I would like to lay my hand on Secret, Sins & Struggles by Kamini Kusum. I’ve read positive reviews about the book and each of the five stories did look interesting to me. Moreover, as a woman, I prefer stories about women empowerment and achievements in different forms. As a professional book reviewer also, I think this book would be a pretty decent read. Would be happy to have a copy.

  14. Pingback: Mega Giveaway – Candid reviews

  15. I would like to win the three wise monkeys by jeet jain because I’m interested to know why the book was chosen to direct into a movie

The second choice is secrets, sins & struggles by kamini kusum because I wish to live and experience the struggles of those five women.

Final choice is Strangers with known faces by gautham dutta. I wanna read this book to know about the another saga of friendship

  16. Epiphany: tales of revelation
    Should I fall in love
    Strangers with known faces

I liked the covers of all the books. And after reading their blurb I found them interesting. Would love to read them and being a reviewer I would love to review them ASAP.

  17. Hi,
Thank you for hosting this giveaway and giving us a chance to grab amazing books.
Out of all these books, i would like to win-

    1. ‘The Three Wise Monkeys’ by Jeet Gian
The cover picture of this book is enough to grab attention of a potential reader. Besides the cover, the blurb caught my attention- A precise blurb, giving a hint about the plot. The blurb mentions about black money, which relates to the present situation and issues in India. I’m sure it’s a real page turner. So it would be fun to read this book- The roller coaster ride of 3 Monkeys!

    2. ‘The Kissing Circles’ by Nitin Tewari
When I saw the cover, I was surprised to see the art work. I liked the way it has been designed by mentioning about three main elements of this novel- Job, Love and MBA. I felt that the blurb is incorporated in the cover itself, which makes it more attractive. The blurb is differently designed and highlights the concept of this novel. I think the story would display a variety of emotions and that’s what we(readers) expect whenever we read a book. Looking forward to get my hands on this one.

    3. ‘Strangers With Known Faces’ by Gautam Dutta
The title of this novel is self explanatory and realistic too. The blurb reveals the plot and tries to grab attention of readers. I liked the approach of introducing the element of thriller in a friendship based novel. I personally feel that this book is a bit different one and it would be interesting to read the kind of story that my mind is thinking about. I’m expecting some mystery filled with twist and turns.

  18. Hello,
Thankyou for this giveaway and showcasing the varied genre of books.

    2.Wild card by Asfiya
And after reading and watching the inspirational stories, the struggle to achieve dreams the blurb attracted me to have insight of another inspirational story.

and all the book titles seems interesting
but I would lyk to have Blemishing the Odds By Harish Penumarthi
Blemishing The Odds looks like Young-Adult Fiction novel and as the title suggests, it’s a tory about a guy who faces the pre planned obstacles life throws towards him and how he blemishes them all to be successful.

  26. Blemishing The Odds by Harish Penumarthi

The a book that interests me and brings an instant connect with a few elements of the character.

  27. Free gifts are just like Santa Claus s gift😊 I would love to read Wild Card by Asfiya Rahman because I am very eager to read a sports fiction😊

  28. 1- I would love to read “The three wise monkeys” by – Jeet Gian as the blurb of the book is quite an eye- catching. I would love to know the struggles of three simple guys to save their jobs which are actually faced by every person in every field. And also there is also a movie going to be filmed on the book so it will be definitely good read.

2- Strangers With Known Faces by – Gautam Dutta as I find the blurb of this book most interesting and worth-reading. The cover of the book interestingly reveals the content of the book where a person has a mask to cover his real – self. I would love to know the story of those five friends. I expect this book to be full of mysteries.

3- Should I Fall in Love by – Shradha Khanna as I expect this book to be full of ups and downs and twists. I would love to read the story of that love who after being heart-broken gives another chance to her life and move on. I want to read her full story after being betrayed to live life happily.

  29. My 3 give away is the three wise monkeys by Jeet gian,
2- my wife’s diary by Deepanshu saini
3- should I fall in love by shradha khanna

  30. 1. Three wise monkeys.
Expectations: I’ve already read and reviewed the author’s first book and it was cool, with a fair amount of humour and drama. I expect this one to be more interesting than that given the cover and the fact that it is gonna to made into a film.

    2. Strangers with known faces.
Expectations: I’m that not much a love-story lover and this one seems different than the rest listed here. I expect it to be as thrilling as the blurb.

Stranger with known faces – I am a type of a girl who has suffered a heartbreak and this book may remind me the memories I have with my ex. On a wider note because we are stranger with known faces now. Thrilled to read the book.

Should I fall in love – this book would surely change my perception about falling in love and may answer all the doubts I have regarding falling in love. Let this book make me a better person emotionally. I would love to read this book with a cup of coffee and have a emotional roller coaster ride.

My wife’s diary – this book would have all the interesting things a wife expects and experience for better half. A sense of responsibility or even a respectable journey she walks with him.i would love to read the phases a writer narrates as a wife.

  32. 1. The Three Wise Monkeys by Jeet Gian….Heard a lot about this book.. have read many positive reviews…expecting it to be a full length entertainer

    2. Should I Fall in Love by Shradha Khanna…What an interesting title it is!! The title and the blurb are really exciting…I hope this would be a great story of a strong girl..

    3. Strangers With Known Faces by Gautam Dutta… Title and the cover grabbed my attention..its interesting blurb speaks a lot of author’s skill…as a lover of thrillers and mysteries I hope this book would deliver to my tastes..

  33. I would be glad if the Author chooses me.

I would want ‘Blemishing the Odds’ by Harish Penumarthi.
I would like to opt for the book because Raghav’s character holds stark resemblance to what I was during my childhood. I would like to read it and see how close the story is to my life.

  34. I would love to read Terminal love by Vicky Arora, the reason behind choosing this very book is, it’s a gay love story. I’ve read too many novels based on love story but a gay love story, I never even thought in my dreams that there would be a book ever on Gay people’s love life. This society that never fails to astonish me, they always create a fuss if same sex of people fall in love, kudos to the Author for writing such a book and breaking the taboo. Oh, that’s what I think the book may contain in it. I’ve too many expectations from this book. Also I’m in love with the cover page, it’s so good seriously. Waiting to get a copy.

    Liked by 1 person

  35. I’d like to read the following-
    1) Three wise monkeys- I expect this book to be like The Animal Farm by Orwell. Do I need to say anything more?

    2) Terminal Love by Vicky Arora- I expect this book to be a thriller, different from the usual ones. The name is unique and the theme seems to revolve around story of two men who struggle to achieve something, where destiny plays a crucial role.

    3) Wild Card- Because stories on sports is of my interest.

  36. Choosing only three titles from the given list of books was surely a herculean task but the rule demand it, so here is my list :-
    1. Secrets, sins and struggles by Kamini Kusum.
The cover and blurb of the book reveal that its a women oriented book and being a girl myself, the book has been my foremost choice ever since I laid my eyes on it.
I expect the book to be non-cliche with women tackling their issues like a boss.
I hope the book serves as an inspiration to women who are currently dealing with quite a number of troubles in their life, I hope to win the book for I am looking for something that can inspire me not only to become a better person but also to help me provide courage.

    2. Blemishing the Odds by Harish Penumarthi

One of the reasons behind wanting to read the book is the name of the protagonist, ‘Raghav’. About 2-3 years ago I had read an online fiction where the male protagonist was named Raghav and I had fallen in love with that character, from that day the name has a special place in my heart.
Moreover the description of both the Raghavs are quite the same so I am looking someone else to fall for.
Who doesn’t love it when a brat falls in love anyway.

    3. Strangers with known faces by Gautam Dutta
The book’s title speaks for itself and silences all the doubts in a person’s choice.
Mystery and thriller are a widely appreciated genre and the book is also listed under Romance on amazon( yes, I did the research) so It basically has all the flavours to make a good read, need I say more about why I chose this book?
Its obvious, the title, the blurb just make it obvious that a person who is in constant search for new reads would pick it..

I wish I was permitted to pick a fourth book for I really wanted to add another name to the list but hard luck!
I had earlier made a comment on the post but I had to make some changes to it so I posted another. 🙂

Authors! Pick me, I will be a good book parent. 😀
